One Action
Neil November 9th, 2007
The One Action believes inspiration is greater than choice.
The One Action believes expression flows from within your image, not applied from without.
The One Action provides invigorating training materials for you to develop your vision within Photoshop.
One Photoshop action is all you need.
The One Action may not be something you’ve never done before, but what you might need is to stop tying to find how your image should look in a list - and instead look inside yourself to find your image. Your image will guide you to achieve any effect along the spectrum of toning and manipulating as an organic growth from your workflow process. The LAB color space work flow will put the tools at your fingertips to form it into your best expression.

Recommended accessories to further speed your work flow

The AutoLoader script costs $25 and will save you that within the first hour you use it.
The ONE action puts the power in your hands, but you need something else to bring the images to your hands - AutoLoader is it. AutoLoader will load a list of files for you to work on one at a time, allowing you to open and edit consecutively without overloading Photoshop’s memory buffer while you’re workin. Priceless!
You need more Keys
The ONE Action is setup to allow you full access to 90% of the necessary imaging tools using the F1 through F6 keys keeping things within your left hand’s reach. But your left hand should have an ergonomically designed resting place. I suggest the Nostromo n52 Game Pad for a customizable hand rest button puncher:
Plain and cheap Nostromo N52, and the Fancy Light-up Nostromo N52 ($70)
, or explore some other left hand pad options.

there is also X Keys - but I don’t recommend you spend that much money cause there’s too many buttons. Just be sure the software with the version you get works on your mac (the nostromo does, although not as nice as the PC). You want to program your brush size, tools and actions into your left hand access so you don’t have to look down or think twice about your system - you can go completely right brained and bust some creative moves.
