I will be in Harvard Illinois (between Chicago and Rockford) presenting a one day lighting workshop, and followup course on photoshop January 12th and 13th. Read the full details on the workshop about making your lighting techniques and photographic seeing more realistic. I’d love to see you there as we have 5 spots left for this day of hands on training for your photographic skills. If you can spare an extra half a day, I will be teaching a Photoshop followup on Saturday the 13th that is included in your registration.

    Hi Neil,

I can’t thank you enough for coming to the little town of Harvard to share your talent and your vision of photography for us to become better photographers. Like I mentioned on our drive back to the airport, it’s definitely a lot to digest and it will take time for me to work through all the knowledge you shared and apply it. About the only thing I would change about the workshop is to have it be a 2-day workshop. I am going crazy trying to remember what you said and recommended and trying out with my camera the techniques I learned. So in this sense, it would be better to have a 2nd day of shooting and practice. Maybe the format for the class could be: Day 1: concepts, the 3 principles, demonstrations; Day 2: 1/2 day shooting in different environments, 1/2 day Photoshop class.

The Photoshop class was also amazing. I learned that there is so much that can be done with an image to make it very compelling. I would love to attend this workshop again, so the next time the workshop comes near my area, I’ll visit you again.

Also, from my family and myself, it was a total pleasure having you over at our place. We hope that you enjoyed your stay, and that my kids didn’t bug you too much ;-) . And I know I still owe you the Habanero salsa.

Neil – Thanks again for the workshop. I left thinking about a ton on how I do better. Thanks much! Sandra
